Offers of Admission

I have received an offer of admission. What do I do next?
Your complete digital offer package is available online at the website provided in your offer letter. You will find detailed information about accepting your offer, paying your tuition deposit, applying for financial aid, and joining the Class Facebook page, among other important things. If you receive an offer by mid-February, there will also be invitations to events that require your response.

When can I accept my offer?
OLSAS begins registering acceptances of offers in mid-January.

How can I accept my offer?
Log in to your completed OLSAS application using your username and password. Then click on the appropriate link and follow the online instructions. You will receive a confirmation number via email once you have saved and submitted your response.

Do you have Welcome events for students who are admitted after mid-March?
Unfortunately, we do not host additional Welcome events in the late spring for admitted students but we do host a virtual “Meet & Greet” and Q&A session in August for incoming students. You may also visit the law school during regular business hours. For a tour or to speak with Admissions or student ambassadors to learn more about Western Law, contact lawapp@uwo.ca or 519-661-3347.

I asked to be added to the class Facebook group but was not added. Why not?
If you are not added to the Facebook group within one week of your request, we may not recognize you as an admitted student. Is your Facebook name different than the name with which you applied to Western Law? If so, please email lawapp@uwo.ca to let us know.

Is it worth joining the class Facebook group?
Yes! You can post questions you have relating to Western Law on the Facebook page and ambassadors will shower you with helpful information. The page is also a great source of information for housing if you are looking for a roommate.

How can I meet some of my classmates before school begins?
Incoming students sometimes arrange meet & greets through the class Facebook group. Student ambassadors are also members of your class Facebook group and may post social events before the school year begins. Be brave and suggest a coffee chat with future classmates in your area!

Is it possible to defer my admission to the following year?
Deferrals are rare and granted in exceptional circumstances only – typically where a completely unforeseen event arises that prevents you from attending law school. If you are seeking a deferral, contact the Assistant Dean (Admissions & Recruitment) at danielle.lacasse@uwo.ca or 519-661-3356.
