Applications - Undergraduate Combined Programs
Western Law currently offers two undergraduate combined-degree programs with other faculties at Western:
- HBA/JD (Business)
- BESc/JD (Engineering)
To see the formal requirements for the program you are interested in, please visit Western's Academic Calendar.
Students in these programs complete both degrees in six academic years instead of the seven years that would be required if the degrees were completed separately, as follows:
| Years 1-3 | First three years of undergraduate program (for Business students: first two years of undergraduate program and HBA 1) |
| Year 4 | Law 1 |
| Years 5-6 | Law 2 & 3 and Year 4 of the undergraduate degree (for Business students: HBA 2) |
Students apply to these programs by May 1 after their third year of undergraduate study.
Application Process
In lieu of applying to the Faculty of Law directly, which was the process until 2025, candidates apply through Ontario Law School Application Service (OLSAS).
Law School Admission Test
The Law School Admission Test is required for all applicants to first-year law. For all combined programs June LSAT scores (written after the third year of undergraduate study) are accepted for Fall admission. However, applicants are encouraged to write the LSAT earlier if possible given the nature of the rolling admissions process. A score above the 80th percentile is considered a competitive score for applicants to combined-degree programs. Applicants can create an account with the Law School Admission Council and register for the LSAT online at www.lsac.org.
