Legate & Associates LLP Sponsors Public Lectures for 2012-13
The Tort Law Research Group is pleased to announce that the London firm of Legate & Associates LLP is sponsoring its public lectures for the 2012-13 academic year. Each year the Group brings at least two high-profile speakers on tort law to Western to deliver a public lecture aimed at law students, faculty members and the local legal community. Past speakers have included Professor Arthur Ripstein (University of Toronto), Professors Lewis Klar and Russell Brown (University of Alberta), and Nicholas McBride (University of Cambridge).
“We are very grateful for the sponsorship from Legate & Associates, which is critical for attracting high-profile speakers,” said Professor Erika Chamberlain, a member of the executive committee of the Group.
The Research Group has confirmed that Mr Justice Robert Sharpe of the Ontario Court of Appeal will be giving the public lecture for the fall term, on Monday, November 5. The title of his lecture is "Developing Tort Law at an Intermediate Appellate Court."
Legate & Associates was founded by Barbara Legate in 1996 and has since developed a reputation as Southwestern Ontario's leading personal injury law firm among its peers and as a thorough, caring and effective advocate among its clientele.
