Nusaiba Al-Azem
Nusaiba Al-Azem, JD'18, is the director of legal affairs at the National Council of Canadian Muslims, Canada's foremost anti-Islamophobia civil liberty organization.
Nusaiba holds a BSW from King's University College, and while completing her JD at Western, was the recipient of the Margaret H. McNulty Prize, which is awarded to a student who shows great promise. She also received the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize for academic achievement.
Nusaiba first practiced as a corporate and commercial solicitor before transitioning into human rights-based and advocacy litigation at NCCM.
