Danielle Lacasse

B.A., B.Ed., LL.B. (Windsor); LL.M. (Wayne State)

Danielle Lacasse was called to the Ontario Bar in 1991. After a short time in private practice she turned her attention to teaching law, both at the secondary school level and at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in its joint-degree program with the University of Windsor.  She subsequently joined Windsor full time as its first academic integrity officer, a position that included both educational programming and serving as the university’s discipline counsel.  Danielle joined Western Law in the Fall of 2012 as its Assistant Dean, Admissions and Recruitment, for the JD program (and combined JD programs with other faculties at Western).  Since 2013 she has served on the Law School Admission Council’s Misconduct and Irregularities in the Admissions Process Subcommittee, which is responsible for ensuring the integrity of admissions processes for all LSAC member schools. She is also a member of Western’s Senate Review Board Academic and serves as the Chair of the Ontario Law School Application Service (OLSAS) Working Group. She enjoys meeting with prospective students to discuss the advantages of attending Western Law and to offer suggestions on how best to prepare for law school admission.
