Small Claims Court Project at Western
The Small Claims Court Project (SCCP) is in its second year at Western Law. At SCCP students help unrepresented, Small Claims litigants in the completion of court documents under the supervision of volunteer lawyer mentors.
How does the SCCP work?
Every Wednesday evening students book appointments to meet with clients to discuss their case and help them fill out the court forms related to their case, under the supervision of London area lawyer volunteers. Appointments are from 5:30-8:30pm at the London Central Library.
If you are in need of Small Claims Court assistance:
If you need help to fill out the court forms related to your Small Claims lawsuit please contact us. We offer one- on- one form filling assistance, procedural information, general guidelines and other legal information related to the Small Claims Court Process.
Call us at 519-661-3352 to book an appointment.
As volunteers, students gain valuable experience in drafting documents, client interviewing and identifying legal issues. Importantly, students help clients navigate through the Small Claims Court process and provide the community with a meaningful service.
How to get involved:
If you are an upper year student looking to get involved with the SCCP applications will be open in early September. Notice will be sent out by email.
